I am pleased to announce that I attended the Beyond Consequences Certified Instructor Training in Los Angeles this past weekend!

I spent two insightful days with Heather T. Forbes, LCSW, and truly did experience a training like no other. Heather brought her professionalism and understanding of the Beyond Consequences parenting paradigm to this training. Like the “Every Day is Mother’s Day” Moms Conference I attended last month, Heather also moved me to a new understanding of myself — cognitively, emotionally, and spiritually.

Eric Guy, LSW, a nationally recognized therapist and speaker taught this Instructor Training. I liked the balance of their energies and loved the synergy of their work together! I really enjoyed Eric’s style and presence; his parenting demonstrations were powerful and inspiring.

I attended to learn to actively implement excellent parenting techniques and learn to regulate during stress filled times, empower myself and my family, be a local support to my community, have an opportunity to truly help other parents.

From the training, I gained a deeper understanding of the Beyond Consequences parenting model, learned to answer even the toughest of parenting questions, strengthened my ability to identify ways to interrupt negative feedback loops effectively, empowered myself to apply the Beyond Consequences principles to the most chaotic of situations, learned how to engage resistant parents having difficulty shifting out of victimhood, developed my ability to equip other parents to identify the fear in their child’s behaviors, addressed my own barriers that hinder my ability to create emotional space for stressed out children, and improved my ability to self-regulate during times of stress.

Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control, was written by Heather T. Forbes, LCSW and B. Bryan Post, LCSW and was written in particular for families with children who have difficult behaviors due to attachment issues for many different reasons.  However, this love based paradigm applies to all people and all families.

We will be doing online parenting classes for families to teach the Beyond Consequences parenting model. These classes are geared specifically to families struggling with difficult behaviors from any member of the family unit.

This application of the Beyond Consequences, Logic & Control, love-based parenting paradigm (hashtag is #BCLC for discussions on Twitter) to healing relationships applies to all relationships and to all families.  If you are wanting to create peace and harmony in your life, connect with your family members, these classes will empower you to achieve these goals!
